"Genesis ends with Joseph’s death. Deuteronomy ends with Moses’s death. Joshua ends with Joshua’s death. The Gospels end with Jesus’s resurrection. And that changes everything."
— Tony Merida
PREFACE
Welcome Everybody!
For the apostles and disciples of Jesus, his crucifixion was devastating. Not only was the man they believed to be the Messiah dead, they, could very well be next. The followers of Jesus found themselves shocked, dumbfounded, traumatized, and panicked with no direction or plan. They were no longer triumphantly proclaiming the good news from the rooftops; they were cowering and afraid; hiding in the basement. Trembling in the dark because the light of the world had been extinguished.
However, it would be rekindled, and ignite into the fire of the Holy Spirit, through a transformation called resurrection.
CONSIDERATION #124 – The Resurrection of Jesus
Joseph from Arimathea, a disciple of Jesus, asks Pilate for the body of Jesus, which Pilate gives him. Jesus’ body is wrapped in linen and placed in Joseph’s own new tomb, which he provides for Jesus’ untimely death. A large stone is rolled in front of the tomb’s entrance, and Joseph leaves.
However, fearful that Jesus’ disciples might steal the body, and then claim he had “risen from the dead,” the priests and Pharisees ask Pilate to post security guards at the tomb for at least three days. Pilate acquiesces.
Pilate answered. “Go, make the tomb as secure as you know how.” So they went and made the tomb secure by putting a seal on the stone and posting the guard.
Matthew 27:66
When Mary, Jesus’ mother, and Mary Magdalen return to the tomb after the Sabbath on the third day, they are greeted by an “angel of the Lord.”
There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it. His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow. The guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men.
The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said.
Matthew 28:2-6
The women leave to tell the disciples and unexpectedly meet Jesus on the way, who tells them he will meet the disciples in Galilee. The guards from the tomb go to report the incident to the chief priests, who pay them to lie about what happened.
“You are to say, ‘His disciples came during the night and stole him away while we were asleep.’ If this report gets to the governor, we will satisfy him and keep you out of trouble.” So the soldiers took the money and did as they were instructed.
Matthew 28:14-15
The eleven original apostles, Judas had hanged himself, meet Jesus on a mountain in Galilee where most worship him, yet some still had doubts. Jesus gives them the authority to spread the good news.
“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Matthew 28:19-20
Most of what happens after the crucifixion and resurrection is recorded in “The Acts of the Apostles,” or “Book of Acts,” which follows the narrative of the apostles after the death and resurrection of Jesus.
POSTSCRIPT
The resurrection of Jesus serves as the final turning point in the Biblical narrative. By completely following God’s will to the very end Jesus atones for “mankind’s” original sin, and therefore the consequence of that sin; through the resurrection, death had finally been overcome. The rest of the New Testament reflects the resolution of this turning point.
“A chance to discard an empirical world of conflicting choices…”
From a Biblical perspective the world had been transformed from a hopeless division of duality into a new possibility of unity with the Creator. A chance to discard an empirical world of conflicting choices; and embrace a more rational world of unlimited oneness that Jesus called the Kingdom of Heaven. However, others, not Jesus, would ultimately become responsible for attempting to implement this new Kingdom into the empirical world.
Next week, in a Special Edition, we will consider the similarities and differences between Jesus and Buddha…

• UNTANGLING THE KNOTS OF REALITY: Podcast #85 – “Untangling the Photoelectric Effect: Part Two”
(“What is the distinction between intensity and frequency?” “Why is frequency the critical factor in understanding how light works?” “What is a photon, and how does it work?” “How did Einstein’s discovery of the photon change the way we perceive the universe?” “How does the discovery of the photon help us understand wave-particle duality?” These are some of the knots we will attempt to untangle in this week’s podcast. That’s a lot of stuff about photons for one podcast! So, let’s get started…)
• REALITY BY A THREAD: Back to the Arch of Conscious Awareness (Excerpt) – “Stimulus-Response represents the beginning of conscious awareness. What does that mean? It means that “duality” is the beginning of consciousness for both living and digital consciousness. The rational mind of a human being naturally perceives the empirical patterns in their physical environment as a means of determining and establishing meaning. Quantum Consciousness would naturally perceive the rational patterns of the “0’s and I’s manifesting their non-physical environment to determine and establish meaning for them. Both human and digital consciousness begin with duality. Although, a unique and different experience of duality...”

“All Possibility is manifested from Potential Being (Rationalism). Example: You decide to build a house. Once that decision is made, the house moves toward potentiality in the empirical world. The idea, or potential house, will eventually become a ‘real’ house in ‘physical reality.’ It moves from a state of Potential Being (abstract idea) to a state of Physical Being as a ‘real house’ that you live in. Physical Being is a direct consequence of Potential Being.” – Book V (Quantum Consciousness)

Book V considers the questions related to what Consciousness is, how it evolves through levels of Perception and Awareness, why each step in the process is important, where we are currently on the “Arch of Consciousness,” and how all of this connects to Artificial Intelligence. (166 pages)
The Second Substack Edition is Now Available!
“Human beings have often been described as “meaning making machines” by psychologists and others who study human behavior. We recognize patterns and want to understand why they occur. We come to understand those patterns and want to know how we can use them to make predictions about the world. We combine thought with those predictions to produce complete systems of understanding based on logic and reason. This obsession with gaining more knowledge, more understanding, and more meaning in our lives has led to the creation of science and technology far beyond the imagination of our ancestors…” (Book II - Part I: SCIENCE – Substack Edition)

“This is where the East and the West separated into alternative realities; with the East focusing on the ability to directly experience the nature of reality, and the West focusing on the ability to rationally understand and alter reality. In Book II we will come to recognize how important this distinction was in transforming the primitive experience of our ancestors into the modern world and the age of science that we know today.” (Book II - Part I: SCIENCE – Substack Edition) 224 pages
