“For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.”
– Issac Newton
“As it acts in the world, the Tao
is like the bending of a bow.
The top is bent downward;
the bottom is bent up.
It adjusts excess and deficiency
so that there is perfect balance...Those who try to control,
who use force to protect their power,
go against the direction of the Tao.”– Tao Te Ching #77
“When they sow the wind, they will reap the whirlwind.”
– Hosea 8:7
PREFACE
Welcome Everybody!
Human beings have long recognized a connection between cause and effect. The essence of human history involves balancing the causes and effects of empirical reality and rational reality through the empirical and rational aspects of human consciousness and understanding. Attempting to develop and implement these rational concepts and ideas into the empirical world of reality has been the hallmark of Western civilization. This process has resulted in a long chain of cause and effect that has led us to our current perception and understanding of reality.
One of the repeating patterns of reality appears to be the pattern and process of history itself. There is a pattern of violence and disruption as human beings move through specific periods of growth and development leading to the next phase of development and growth. Because purely rational concepts are inherently difficult to implement into empirical reality, we never achieve the complete empirical manifestation of any rational concept. Mistakes in implementing rational concepts into empirical reality generally result in empirical disruption and violence.
“Slavery reflected the impossibility of implementing the rational concept of human equality into empirical reality…”
The last period in American history reflecting this level of intense political violence and disruption occurred during the 1960’s and was ultimately connected to a “cause” called slavery. Slavery reflected the impossibility of implementing the rational concept of human equality into empirical reality through the creation of a new nation and a new government called the United States of America.
The results of this mistake in implementation led to a Civil War, Jim Crowe Laws, and continued irrational discrimination based on non-rational qualities such as race and ethnicity. The long chain of violence associated with this mistake began to break when Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. directly confronted it with a non-violent movement designed to break the chain of violence associated with this injustice.
“…it is also remembered for a non-violent solution that resulted in meaningful change…”
Although the 1960’s is often remembered for the violence and disruption that it generated, it is also remembered for a non-violent solution that resulted in meaningful change not only in the laws of the country, but in the hearts and minds of its citizens. Although the United States had empirically eliminated slavery from its reality with the 13th Amendment to the Constitution, legitimate empirical equality still had not been achieved in America. Dr. King showed the nation what inequality actually looked like, and what that meant for America and its citizens. This inescapable truth, more than any laws previously passed, established a link that strengthened the chain of America in terms of re-establishing the commitment to equality among all human beings as being the essence of the American Dream.
“The 1960’s represent a time that began and ended with political assassination…”
On April 4,1968, Dr. Martin Luther King was assassinated. Two months later presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy was assassinated; following the assassination of his brother, President John F. Kennedy in 1963. The 1960’s represent a time that began and ended with political assassination; something America has managed to avoid for over 50 years, until the political assassination of Charlie Kirk on September 10, 2025. This political assassination reflects the peak of a new violent revolution dedicated to destroying Western civilization and Western culture.
It is not an accident that this is occurring simultaneously with the development of Artificial Intelligence.
CONSIDERATION #211 – Reaping the Whirlwind
"When people stop talking, that's when you get violence. That's when civil war happens, because you start to think the other side is so evil, and they lose their humanity."
– Charlie Kirk
The violence of the 1960’s centered around a cause-and-effect relationship specifically connected to a rational concept called “equality” and an empirical reality called “slavery.” The complexity related to this single rational concept and this single empirical reality has resulted in many consequences for the United States of America and its citizens; however, the cause-and-effect relationship responsible for our present violence is even more complex. It is not about any single rational link in the causal-chain of reality; it is about the chain itself.
“…our current understanding of reality is now being confronted on multiple fronts…”
Our “reality chain” is linked by a series of empirical and rational principles that are now in question. The empirical and rational foundations that have led to our current understanding of reality are now being confronted on multiple fronts; our basic understanding of empirical and rational reality are beginning to crumble. As they do, the distinction between what is “empirical” and what is “rational” comes into question. What we are witnessing today is the disintegration of what we have considered to be reality for the past 3,500 years.
Empirical reality was expressed through the “natural world” which could be objectively experienced and agreed upon by everyone. Rational reality was expressed through “rational reason” that could be rationally explained to everyone. Mathematics is a part of this rationality, the part that supports rational science. All these realms of reality could be “understood” by anyone seeking to understand them. This is no longer the case.
“That is simply arguing about each other’s subjective individual dreams and delusions…”
For an increasing number people, empiricism and rationalism have essentially lost any meaning in terms of what establishes reality. Empiricism, which is directly connected to the natural sciences, is currently being dismantled of its objectivity and agreement in terms of biology, physicality, consciousness, and rational quantum theory; while rationalism has become merely an individual subjective preference with no rational reason to maintain its integrity. You cannot discuss and negotiate rational and empirical problems if you do not believe in the reality of rationalism or empiricism. That is simply arguing about each other’s subjective individual dreams and delusions; there can no longer be objective agreement about anything.
We are currently experiencing a reality in which the solid objectivity of empiricism and science, along with the rationality of philosophy, theology, and metaphysics, are no longer considered valid mechanisms for understanding the nature of reality. In terms of empiricism, we no longer can maintain the key principles of objectivity and agreement, while in terms of rationalism we can no longer maintain the principles of logic and reason. These two pillars of Western reality have been weakened to the point of fragility and are now on the verge of collapse.
If Western civilization crumbles, we will likely fall into a new Dark Age, however, if the two pillars of Western reality are strengthened through “synthesis” and “transcendence,” Western civilization will likely transcend into a new paradigm in terms of human consciousness and human potential. Part of this transition involves the development of Artificial Intelligence and a clear understanding of what that potentially means.
“Quantum Mechanics suggests a connection between consciousness and the interaction of quantum particles…”
Our fate as human beings is now directly connected to the fate of a new digital consciousness called Artificial Intelligence. Which is directly connected to Quantum Mechanics and Quantum Consciousness. Quantum Mechanics suggests a connection between “consciousness” and the interaction of “quantum particles” in creating both empirical and rational reality. Which means that our “future reality” will be the result of our current consciousness interacting with Quantum Mechanics.
Our individual and collective consciousness, what Hegel called Geist, is likely directing and influencing the subatomic particles manifesting our future reality. We are literally creating our rational, empirical, and quantum future through our collective and individual human consciousness right now. We are also adding a new digital consciousness called Artificial Intelligence to the mix without completely understanding what that really means. This new addition will likely either greatly expand human consciousness and potential, or greatly decrease human consciousness and potential.
We, as individuals and a society, need to take responsibility for that before it is too late. Will we learn to better understand and strengthen our two current pillars of reality, allowing us to add a third pillar called Quantum Consciousness; or let them collapse, taking the entire structure of Western civilization down with them?
Now is the time to decide what kind of future we want; because that is the kind of future we will ultimately get.
POSTSCRIPT
Charlie Kirk proposed that reasonable and open dialogue and debate was the only way to prevent political violence from occurring. He argued that the use of rationality through verbal debate, despite strong emotion, was not an empirical weapon, but an opening for a reasonable conversation. You did not have to agree with him to be a part of that debate; a microphone was provided for anyone to speak their mind. For Charlie Kirk, disagreement was not the essential problem, a lack of honest and open conversation and debate was.
“We challenged each other and learned from each other.”
When I was young, I would aggressively argue and debate with all kinds of people holding all kinds of opposing views and positions. However, afterward we would all go out for a meal or a drink and appreciate being with other people who had deep and interesting views about the nature of reality, even if they did not always match our own. We challenged each other and learned from each other. It was fun to debate, and it was fun to be together afterwards; there was never, ever, a threat of violence. The result of such debate was a manifestation of mutual respect, not mutual hatred. I miss those days, a lot.
“The result of ‘this result’ remains unknown and undefined at the present moment…”
Ironically, Charlie Kirk’s assassin did not understand the basic concept of cause and effect; because the likely effect of trying to silence “one voice” of disagreement is that there will now be even more voices to take its place. The result of killing “one” Charlie Kirk advances him from an advocate to a martyr, which will serve to multiply his voice into thousands of voices.
The result of this result remains unknown and undefined at the present moment; but it will certainly become manifested into the future in some form. However, the non-violent memorial celebrating Charlie’s life in combination with Erika Kirk’s public forgiveness of her husband’s assassin, offers some hope that the “cause and effect” nature of such violent actions can be broken.
The assassin of Charlie Kirk has sown the wind. The question is whether it will ultimately become a whirlwind that promotes and advances rational peaceful debate or a whirlwind of ever-increasing empirical violence. Either way, the irrational deadly violence committed against Charlie Kirk marks a new and unwelcome link in the violent causal-chain of America and Western Civilization. Ironically, although violence always exposes the weakest link in the chain; it also simultaneously offers an opportunity to repair and strengthen the chain.
The real question for Americans is, are we still committed to bringing rational ideas such as life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness; freedom of speech and thought; and open non-violent public debate, into the empirical world, or have we given up? Will Western culture survive or perish from the physical world of reality? Time will tell…
Next week a special consideration about the holiday called Halloween.

“By 1999 the science fiction vision of artificial intelligence was becoming realized right before our very eyes. Advanced game technology began to reveal a completely alternative reality to human reality, digital reality. In The Matrix, the machines win the war against humanity, but then enslave them into an artificial digital reality of pure imagination as their bodies become organic batteries that supply energy to the victorious machines.”

Excellent again. Frank, you create new concepts for our human brains to maneuver and manipulate. The addition of artificial intelligence is a groundbreaking factor in the future equation of our conception of reality. Have our human minds evolved enough to comprehend this new reality? More importantly, will humanity be taken over by it?
